Congratulations to the Grand Prairie Elementary School Physical Education team - Andrea Paplaski-Grygiel, Candice Haymond and Matt Baker – who presented twice at the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD) Conventions.
The group presented virtually in 2023 and in person in December 2024.
The presentations were named “Lots of Kids … Little Space … No Problem,” part one and two.
Part one focused on co-teaching in 2023 and part two focused on large group games in 2024.
The second presentation included bright and colorful slide shows that outlined games for different grade levels, including Battleship, where teams on scooters tried to knock down opponents' bowling pins.
