Grand Prairie Elementary School celebrated World Down Syndrome Day Friday by raising money for GiGi's Playhouse in the name of student Pharron King. Staff and students were encouraged to wear mismatched or crazy socks to honor differences. King also served as principal for the day. Even facility dog Simi got into the spirit! #202proud

Wood and many district office staff visit schools to give updates and hear directly from staff members. Wood also meets with students, select individual teachers, and union members. #202proud
