Nine District 202 high school artists place in SPC competition

Plainfield – Nine District 202 high school artists placed in the Southwest Prairie Art Conference competition hosted at West Aurora High School on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

More than 130 students participated from all 12 Southwest Prairie Conference high schools including: Plainfield High School-Central Campus, and Plainfield South, North and East high schools; Joliet West and Central high schools; Minooka, Oswego, Oswego East and Romeoville, Yorkville, and West Aurora high schools.

Plainfield High School – Central Campus

  • Emily Guardado, senior, computer generated art, Second Place
  • Sadie Childs, junior, digital photography, Second Place
  • Hannah Strange, sophomore, printmaking, Third Place
  • Elisabeth “Elle” Ebersole, senior, drawing color, Honorable Mention

Plainfield South High School

  • Cana Weber, senior, painting watercolor, First Place
  • Linzie Cirlincione, senior, ceramic wheel thrown, Third Place
  • Natalie Pawlinski, junior, painting watercolor, Third Place
  • Natalie Keene, sophomore, colored drawing, Honorable Mention

Plainfield North High School

  • Olivia Haubert, freshman, mixed media shallow relief, Second Place

Plainfield East High School

  • Angelyn Wong, sophomore, animation, First Place
  • Kaitlyn “Kat” Carlisle, junior, commercial design, Third Place
  • Zoe Hartsfield, senior, mixed media shallow relief, Honorable Mention
